Winter Season Review

This Winter Season was a time for growth, gaining new experiences, and stepping into new roles. Players on every team improved their skill level and faced the challenging opportunities with great grit and determination. Lessons learned from both victory and defeat will make our teams stronger for years to come. I hope the memories and lessons learned from each team’s journey will have a positive impact on all.

The Middle School and Varsity Cheer teams led with spirit, energy, and some great routines! In December, they worked with close to 100 Jr. Cougar Cheerleaders one Saturday and taught them a routine that all performed at a home basketball game. This is an annual event that is one of the highlights of our winter season.

This year we added a MS Swim team to our swim program. This group of swimmers were very dedicated and showed great growth. They will continue to work to help make our swim program strong.

In its 2nd year of existence, the MS Boy’s Blue team worked very hard and improved every game throughout the season. This group will be counted on to help build the basketball teams of the future!

CCS brought Varsity Women’s basketball back after a few years of not having enough players to field a team. The team was coached by Marty Parrish. The team is very young, having only 1 senior, and has worked very hard. The team is currently 4-8, with a couple of games left on the schedule. They play well as a team and have improved so much over the course of the season. We are excited to see this team grow in size and skill!

The Varsity Swim Team had another great season! 24 swimmers, including every female swimmer on the team, qualified for the state swim meet this year.
